Research

I am a physical geographer and process geomorphologist interested in sediment transport. My work focuses on the quantitative relationships between physical processes at the grain-scale up to landscape mechanisms. I have experience conducting lab experiments in wind tunnels and flumes, field experiments in coastal, riverine, and desert environments, and modeling work.

About Me

When not working, I deeply enjoy spending time in nature with my family and friends. I love exploring beautiful and diverse landscapes, both near and far. My partner and I are frequently out with our dogs biking, hiking, fishing, camping, and rafting.
In 2024, I will be starting a postdoctoral position with the Mendenhall Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program in Flagstaff, AZ. My research investigates how river and reservoir hydrology affect sediment supply for aeolian transport.
